Frequently Asked Questions
What is HindiApp.in?
HindiApp.in is a collection of browser-based Hindi typing, Devanagari keyboard, text conversion, writing and analysis utilities.
Can I type Hindi using English letters?
Yes. The Hindi Typing Tool provides browser-based phonetic Roman-to-Devanagari transliteration using locally implemented rules and a bundled vocabulary.
Is Hindi typing processed online?
No. The tool logic executes in your browser and does not send your typing to an external transliteration API.
Does HindiApp.in require registration?
No account is required to use the browser-based utilities.
Is the Hindi keyboard suitable for mobile phones?
Yes. It is built to work with both touchscreen and desktop layouts and reorganizes on smaller screens instead of overflowing.
Can I copy the generated Hindi text?
Yes. Every useful output includes a Copy button.
Can I download my text?
Yes, local .txt (and .html where relevant) downloading is provided wherever appropriate.
Does the tool translate English into Hindi?
No — it performs transliteration, not translation. Typing namaste → नमस्ते is transliteration (same word in Devanagari script), not a change of language meaning.
Can HindiApp.in convert Krutidev?
It supports the locally implemented mappings included in the tool. Legacy font encodings can vary, so some characters may need manual review.
Is the Hindi word count exact?
Counting is deterministic: words are whitespace-separated tokens. Punctuation and tokenization can affect some edge cases, which is normal for any counter.
Does HindiApp.in use artificial intelligence?
No. The core tools do not require an AI service or external API.
Will my text remain private?
These tools process your text locally in your browser and do not send it to an external processing API.
